Fundamentals of Aviation
Dual Certification by Alfaisal University & IAA

The Fundamentals of Aviation course is designed to introduce newly enrolled cadets to the dynamic world of aviation, serving as the first structured step toward obtaining an Internationally recognized Pilot License. Offered at Alfaisal University, Riyadh, in partnership with Intercontinental Aviation Academy (IAA), this program provides a solid foundation in aviation principles, industry insights, and essential skills required for pilot training.

Cadets will explore key subjects, including Aviation English & STEM, Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge, Principles of Flight, Human Factors, Meteorology, Communications, Performance and Limitations, and Navigation. Through interactive classroom sessions, they will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills essential for a successful aviation career. The course also emphasizes professionalism, safety awareness, and ethical conduct, core attributes of a skilled pilot.

Open to students as young as 17 years old, this course serves as an excellent self-assessment tool for those curious about aviation, helping them determine their aptitude and passion before committing to full flight training. For those already set on becoming pilots, it lays the groundwork for advanced training, leading to PPL, GACA CPL, EASA f-ATPL, or ICAO CPL pilot licenses.
